Over 80 hotels in New York City offer one-bedroom suites, allowing for a host of options up and down the spectrum.
As a kid, I grew up in hotels. My father worked in the hotel business, and as a result we were constantly afforded the opportunity to sample five-star hotels. In other words, hotels, more specifically, hotel suites, have always been a big part of my life. As an adult, I continued to work in hotels and my appreciation for the quintessential hotel experience, i.e., a hotel suite, has only grown. I like to think of myself as a “Hotel Suite Expert”, and I can attest that once you’re used to a suite, you can never go back to a “regular” room. Of all the wonderful suites I’ve stayed in, New York City suites have consistently given me the best experience. Here are some of my favorite finds:
New York Hotel Suites in Manhattan
1. The Lexington Hotel Suites
Located in Midtown Manhattan, The Lexington Hotel has a lineup of New York hotel suites that offer contemporary style and glamour. For families, or groups wanting a bit more space and comfort, look no further. These suites provide separate bedrooms and living rooms with a plush sofa bed, 55-inch smart TV and inspiring Art Deco décor. The oversized bedroom features one King or Queen bed with Sealy Encore Ultra Plush mattress.
2. Fifty New York Hotel Suites by Affinia
What sets the suites at Affinia Hotel Midtown East apart from other suites is the size. One suite has approximately 800 square feet, but at Affinia, you have the option to connect two suites together for up to 1,580 square feet of space, which constitutes a remarkable experience in and of itself. These suites have a full kitchen, a separate living room and master bedroom. Artistically appointed to create a residential appeal and a cozy environment, the urban kitchen is equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, tableware, teapot, and toaster. The hotel has even teamed up with FreshDirect to offer hotel guests grocery kits delivered to your door. Their commitment to service stretches all the way to check-out time, which, at a comfortable 2pm, means you really can have your cake and eat it too!
3. Roxy New York Hotel Suites
You want style? Look no further than the New York hotel suites at Roxy in Downtown. While smaller than some suites listed here, (410sqft.) it’s included because of its incredible design and amenities. Featuring TEAC turntables, a Marshall speaker with custom curated vinyl, Tivoli clock radio with bluetooth, Smeg refrigerator, gourmet minibar, and Nespresso machine, is there anything more you could desire? With custom velvet sleeper-sofas, this suite can sleep up to four guests. Thanks to the 9-foot ceilings, oversized windows, modern danish work desk and regency-inspired media cabinets, you won’t give the size a second thought…you’ll simply be left wondering if you can extend your stay!
4. Concorde Hotel Midtown East
Relax at this lavish one-bedroom suite in Midtown East, Manhattan. This New York hotel suite has a king-size bed and a living area with a full size pull-out bed. The bathroom has a large soaking tub with breathtaking city views through over-sized windows. If you’re looking for a spacious suite with plenty of room to sit back and relax, this might be the suite for you. Each suite has two high-definition televisions with 60 channels, as well as wireless and wired high-speed internet. The Concorde hotel building is 37 stories high with breathtaking views of the surrounding skyscrapers.
5. Conrad New York Hotel Suites
If you’ve never stayed at a Conrad Hilton before, you’re in for a pleasant surprise! The “Conrad” line of hotels are known as the top end for the Hilton brand. So naturally, the service, amenities and quality are outstanding, normally 4-stars and above. In lower Manhattan, (Battery Park), the Conrad offers a comfortable New York hotel suites starting with a 500 square-foot one-bedroom suite that sleeps up to five people and has a great view of lower Manhattan. A table and two chairs sit next to the soft woven sofa in the living room, for dining or as a temporary workspace. A separate dressing area with large closet space completes the experience.
6. Conrad Midtown NYC Hotel Suites
Conrad Midtown is located within walking distant of Central Park and many of the suites offer views of the park. They’re hotel suites line up begins with a 525 square-foot, one-bedroom suite hosts many of the familiar features you’ve come to expect at a Conrad Hilton. The sofa in the living room is big enough to allow all your limbs to spread out, yet soft enough to sink into and still feel like you’re held. The accompanying table and chairs allow for conversing, eating, and working, all at the same time if need be. The bedroom is separated by a set of doors or panels, and has a more classic, residential feel. The bathroom allows for all the luxury you need for your business, work or family trip. Every detail has been thought though; you are in good hands at Conrad Midtown.
7. Warwick New York Hotel Suites
When classical good-looks are most appealing, then stop reading and stay here, at The Avenue. The elegant one-bedroom suites here at Warwick offer sweeping views of Avenue of Americas and at 675 square-feet, you’ll enjoy the spaciousness each suite provides. Each suite features a living area leading to a bedroom with a marble bathroom. A dining area accommodates four people and this one-bedroom suite comes with a complimentary in-room Keurig coffee maker.

8. Soho Grand New York City Suite
The sixteenth floor Deluxe One-Bedroom Suite at the Soho Grand Hotel in Manhattan spans 470 to 500 square feet and features a master bedroom with king bed, a separate living area, views of Manhattan and a personal bar. Located on the suites-only sixteenth floor, the Deluxe One-Bedroom suite can comfortably sleep four guests with the sofa bed in the living room. Design elements were inspired by SoHo’s early industrial heritage, creating a theatrical balance of tactile velvets, solid steel fixtures, and fine-grained leather furnishings. This is one of my favorite New York hotel suites ever!
9. The Lowell Hotel Suites
The Lowell New York City one-bedroom suite is elegance personified. Many of these coveted one-bedroom suites offer granite kitchens, wood burning fireplaces (yes in Manhattan!) and many also have private landscaped terraces offering sweeping views of the city. In the spacious master bedroom is a marble bath with heated floors and a deep soaking tub. The separate living room is appointed with hand-picked decor from custom oriental rugs and antique silk-painted art pieces to mirrored Jewel Box minibars or full kitchenettes. The Lowell one-bedroom suite is one the larger New York hotel suites at 800 square-feet.
10. AKA New York Hotel Suites
The one-bedroom suites at AKA New York Central Park are contemporary and modern, exactly what’s needed when searching for weekly or long-term serviced apartments. With 610 – 680 square feet of space these extended-stay apartments have just what you need for for relaxing, working, and entertaining. The high-end touches include oriental stone flooring in the entryway, and marble-clad bathrooms with glass mosaic accents and exclusive bath amenities. The one-bedroom suites feature full kitchens with stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops, and a full complement of upscale kitchen accessories. The living room is modern yet comfortable, with a sofa, lounge chair, and dining area.
11. Residence Inn Manhattan Times Square
If you want to be in the center of the world, look no further than the Residence Inn Manhattan located in the heart of Times Square. These one-bedroom suites offer 500 square feet of air-conditioned living space with kitchenettes that include a full-size refrigerator, making it feel like a genuine home-away-from-home. While connecting rooms and rollaway beds are not available, the sofa converts into a bed and cribs are provided when requested. With a full set of pots, pans and serving dishes, this suites allow for freedom for those amongst us who require scrumptious dining at every meal. When you are ready to escape from the high-octane energy of Times Square, you’re steps away from total relaxation.
12. Equinox Hotel Hudson Yards NYC
As one of the newer properties in New York City, the Equinox Hotel Hudson Yards has one of the most contemporary facilities you can find. The one-bedroom suites here offer a plethora of space and comfort at 770 square-feet. The separate living room has a luxurious sofa and sitting area while the mini-bar and free Nespresso keep you going between restaurant reservations. With the incredible dining and entertainment experiences that the Hudson Yards has to offer, as well as the High-Line and walks along the Hudson River, there are few other locations as popular as the Equinox Hotel.
13. Mela New York Hotel Suites
When your only interest is in seeing the sights, but you still require comfort and care, then the Mela Hotel in Times Square is a good bet. With an ample 365 square-feet and the open layout style, the spacious one-bedroom suite features city views only 550 feet from Times Square. Enjoy the daytime drama that Times Square and Broadway has to offer, sample the high-end restaurants in Hell’s Kitchen or Madison Square, then return to your queen-size bed, and indulge in the 40-inch flat screen LED TV. A sofa bed, and access to WiFi is also available if you are traveling in a group or with family and friends.
14. The Manhattan Club Suites
The Manhattan Club’s got a few hotel suite configurations but the one-bedroom suite is a nice option for those needing extra space or comfort during a longer stay in New York City. Depending on the suite you choose, you could be lounging in 526 to 748 square-feet with a private bedroom, separate living area, kitchenette, elegant marble bathrooms and comprehensive list of thoughtful amenities.
15. The Mark One-Bedroom Suite
With furnishings of ebony, sycamore and nickel, fine Italian linens and bedding, The Mark Suites serve as a chic and private oasis in the heart of New York City’s most elegant neighborhood.
The Mark’s one-bedroom King-size suite is posh and incredibly spacious at 1,100 square feet. Located on floors 3 through 8, suites have a bedroom, foyer, living room and two bathrooms. The suites can be connected to create a two-bedroom or three-bedroom suite offering a world of luxury for up to seven people.
16. Loews New York Hotel Suites
The east side of Manhattan has all the old-world charm with proximity to the major travel hubs of Grand Central and the NYC airports. The Lowes New York suites have views overlooking the wide streets of Park Avenue and include king-size beds with Frette linens and Julien Farel haircare and body products. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and double vanity. If you need the ultimate in high end, ask for the suites that have a half-bath as well. Reserving here will leave you feeling well pampered by all New York has to offer.
17. Club Wyndham Midtown 45
When you need to be in Midtown, there’s hardly a better choice than the Club Wyndham because their hotels suites provide all that you’d expect. You’ll enjoy a kitchen with electronic stovetops, modern bath appliances and touches and king-size bed as well as queen-size sleeper sofa. The modern lighting and features are what truly set this location apart from all the rest. Enjoy your stay with up to four guests.
18. The Langham NYC Hotel Suites
With striking full-length views of the Empire State Building, The Langham hotel suites offers the total experience you’d expect in New York City. Located on the upper floors of the hotel, the Empire State View Suite is a spacious, 935 square-foot, one-bedroom with a king-sized bed, separate sitting area, and full kitchen featuring Miele appliances. A queen-size sleeper sofa is available upon request at reservation. Fits up to five people.
19. 1 Hotel Central Park Hotel Suites
Named the “City Suite”, this Central Park one-bedroom offers view of the park and is fully contained in 484 luxurious square feet. Organic and reclaimed is the name of the game at 1 Hotel Central Park. The bed is made with all-natural elements of a custom organic cotton mattress by Keetsa, 100% organic cotton sheets and a reclaimed wood headboard. The bathroom’s walk-in shower is surrounded by Breccia Capraia marble under a reclaimed wood ceiling. The separate living room is designed with natural elements and includes a couch and live-edge wood desk.
20. Hotel Eventi NYC Suites
This premier one-bedroom suite will have you feeling like a king surrounded by 500 square feet right in the middle of Manhattan. You’ll be amazed at all the space in the separate parlor room, seating area and work space. Take a soak in the spa-style bathtub, or use both of the twin sinks before you gaze across Manhattan thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows. This one-bedroom suite comfortably sleeps five guests, but you may decide you want it all to yourself.
21. Sofitel New York Hotel Suites
Now this is living! This one-bedroom suite has what you’d expect from a suite, the bespoke mattress, fiber-optic WiFi, plus the BOSE stereo and a marble bathtub and separate rain style shower in the bathroom. What distinguishes this suite from so many others is not just the incredible views of the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, nor the French-style amenities, but the incredible amount of space offered thanks to the 650 square feet of room available. That additional square footage changes the suite experience from comfortable to divine in one fell swoop. Take advantage of the 48-inch smart TV, the incredibly high thread count and allow yourself a good dollop of luxury. Maximum of seven guests…the rest you’ll have to turn away.
22. The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park
Throughout the decades, the Ritz-Carlton continues to impress and stand as a harbinger of quality and service amongst New York hotels. This one, located on Central Park South overlooking the park and Sixth Avenue, is no different. With a dedicated workspace, two full bathrooms and a separate living room with pull-out sofa bed, you will need for naught here. Iconic New York images are spaced throughout the suite reminding you that you are surrounded by art and creativity. When and if you are ready to leave this oasis, you can enjoy their newly enhanced fitness center or hundreds of their virtual classes through their Movement Studio. Then you can get back to the King Bed and start the relaxation all over again. Limited to four adults; roll-away cribs available upon request.
23. Mandarin Oriental New York Suites
The beauty of Central Park, with all the amenities of Manhattan, right at your fingertips here at the Mandarin Oriental. This bespoke one-bedroom suite hardly feels “one-bedroom” given the 818 square feet of space that envelops you, not to mention the expansive views across the entirety of Central Park, whether on floor 38 or on the 54th floor. Watch the sun dabble onto the park from the vantage point of your King-size bed or stay put until the sun sets. With a full-size living room and couch, not to mention a dining area for two, there’s really little reason to leave this lap of luxury.
Hotel Edison New York
Hotel Edison has been around since 1930 and offers a selection of suites at Times Square. Guest rooms and suites at Hotel Edison are styled with Art Deco influences and, most importantly, are well maintained, clean and luxurious.
